David Roberts is regarded as one of the world top experts on disruptive innovation and exponentially advancing technology. His passion is to help transform the lives of a billion suffering people in the world through disruptive innovation.
David served as Vice President of Singularity University and two-time Director (and alum) of the Graduate Studies Program. He is an award winning CEO and serial entrepreneur, and has started ventures backed with over $100 million of investment from Kleiner Perkins, Vinod Khosla, Cisco, Oracle, Accenture, In-Q-Tel, and others.
He is the recipient of numerous awards and medals and has led the development of some of the most complex, state-of-the art systems ever built, to include satellites, drones, and fusion centers. He also worked as an Investment Banker in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Goldman Sachs Headquarters. He received his B.S. in Computer Science & Engineering from M.I.T. was a Distinguished Graduate, and majored in Artificial Intelligence and Bio-Computer Engineering. David is Chairman at HaloDrop, a revolutionary global drone services company, Chairman at 1QBit the world first software company for quantum computers, and is a formal adviser to Made-In Space, responsible for manufacturing the first object in Space with a 3D printer on the Space Station.

Jody is the Director of Design for SU Labs, where she provides design and innovation direction for corporate, startup and field impact teams. She employs a radical approach to Human Centered Design to create exponential solutions to the world’s toughest problems. She also speaks about Augmented and Virtual Reality for SU.
In her 23-year design career, Jody has created just about everything from holograms to physical products and R&D. Today, she is Director of Design for Singularity University Labs, where she incubates solutions to Global Grand Challenges using exponential technologies. She specializes in the avant garde of technology, covering everything from Artificial Intelligence to Robotics. She’s spent the last 9 years on AR/VR, most notably as Principal Experience Designer on the HoloLens Project at Microsoft and Principal UX at LEAP Motion. She has traveled the world, speaking about the future of these technologies and their impact on the world for groups like WIRED, Google, and TEDx. Previously, she co-founded and directed Kicker Studio, a design consultancy specializing in Natural User Interface, Perceptual Computing, and R&D for companies including Intel, Samsung, Microsoft, and DARPA.
Jody is also a practicing artist with an MFA in Painting and Design & Technology from the San Francisco Art Institute. She’s a collaborator with the art crew Five Ton Crane, and in her spare time, makes her own clothes while building robots and rockets.

Jeffrey Rogers is a facilitator, speaker, and program designer who creates interactive educational experiences driven by storytelling, engagement, and play. He’s an academically trained social scientist (UC Berkeley, University of Texas-Austin) with a knack for future-thinking and a deep belief in the transformative potential of exponential technologies as tools to de-risk experimentation, accelerate learning, and create change.
Jeffrey speaks frequently across the US and abroad on exponential thinking and leads workshops on creative problem solving and storytelling. He’s connected dots, ideas, and people as a moderator recently for the SU Executive Program and Exponential Tech and Strategy programs for Oracle, Google, Roche, NBC, Aegon and other global brands.
Prior to joining SU, Jeffrey spent a decade building learning and development solutions across sectors and designing and delivering award-winning educational and training programs. Jason Dunn is an international pioneer in the fields of commercial space, digital manufacturing, and disruptive technologies. In 2014 he was recognized by Forbes on the prestigious “30 Under 30” list.
Jason is Co-Founder and Director of Made In Space, Inc. (MIS), which is best known for being the first organization to manufacture off Earth. Since conception, MIS has led the aerospace industry in leveraging space manufacturing technology to enable new space missions.
He earned an undergraduate and graduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Central Florida, and is a graduate of Singularity University. He serves on the University of Central Florida College of Engineering and Computer Science Dean’s Advisory Board, the Advisory Council to the Waypaver Foundation, the Technical Advisory Board for Space For Humanity, and on the Board of Directors for the Future Space Leaders Foundation.

Scott Summit founded design consultancy Summit ID in 1997, after designing for Tonic Industrial Design. He then taught design at Carnegie Mellon University and Stanford University, and continues to lecture at Singularity University. Summit founded venture-backed Bespoke Innovations in 2008, exploring how 3D scanning and 3D printing may address complex human needs, including applications in limb loss, prosthetic devices, scoliosis, and post-op bracing. Bespoke was acquired by 3D Systems in 2012, where he continues to work as Design Director, exploring new directions in 3D printing and design.
Summit holds over 25 patents in design, and has been widely published. He holds board seats at 3D printing research companies including Made In Space (space-based 3D printing) and eNable (philanthropic 3D printed prosthetic hands for children).
Uform, CTO & Founder
Turlif is an inventor, founder and director at Uform, where he leads the creation of 3D modeling and simulation technologies based on an entirely new volumetric approach. This new foundational technology targets massive geometric complexity, meta-materials, topology optimization, biomedical modeling, constraint based design, multi-scale simulation and additive manufacturing - in short: Digital Materialization. For over two decades, Turlif has researched and applied new computational methods and design processes that exactly describe the physical complexity and quality of natural and real objects, helping to establish the fields of Volume and Function Representation. He has proposed a 'Physical Turing Test', where man made objects converge and become indistinguishable from natural ones. His work has been in numerous publications and exhibitions, including the MoMA (NYC) permanent collection. In addition, Turlif contributes to open source and international standards organizations, including the ASTM and ISO working groups for 3DP standards, and is the co-author of an ethical copyright license aimed at addressing the unique issues surrounding 'materialization technologies', such as 3D printing.

Andy Christensen’s entire career has focused on developing and expanding the medical applications of 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing. As an undergraduate, Andy studied business at the University of Colorado at Denver. His first introduction to 3D printing was through the stereolithography process in 1993, shortly thereafter beginning to work with surgeons in facilitating better surgical planning through use of these technologies. From 2000 to 2014 he was the Founder and President of Medical Modeling Inc., a medical device-focused 3D Printing service bureau based in Golden, Colorado. Medical Modeling worked closely with surgeons and medical device manufacturers to create entirely new toolsets in the areas of patient-specific anatomic modeling, virtual surgical planning, personalized surgical guides/implants and applying metal 3D printing to orthopedic implant applications. Andy and his team contributed to the care of tens of thousands of patients, a number of medical and regulatory “firsts” and numerous high-profile cases including more than two dozen sets of conjoined twins. In April 2014 Medical Modeling was acquired by 3D Systems and contributed to the creation of a new business vertical for 3D Systems in the Healthcare sector. Andy left 3D Systems in 2015 to pursue other interests.
Today Andy holds the position of Adjunct Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada. In November 2018 he was elected to the Executive Committee of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 3D Printing Special Interest Group (SIG). Andy is also an Associate Editor for the clinical journal “3D Printing in Medicine,” published by BMC.
Andy’s other interests span investing, advising, writing/speaking and spending focused time with his family. He serves as advisor and/or board member to a number of enterprises, not surprisingly most of these are in the healthcare sector. Andy resides in Littleton, Colorado with his wife and son.

Andre Wegner is founder and CEO of Authentise. Andre is a frequent speaker on emerging intellectual property issues in 3D Printing and opportunities of distributed manufacturing at events such as Singularity University, Rapid, Designer of Things, Inside 3D Printing, 3D Print Show, Pacific Crest & WIRED. He has been quoted in publications such as BBC News, MIT Tech Review, Chicago Tribune, and Bloomberg. He is an expert in greenfield value chain creation, leading the development of a $300m low-income gas distribution business for West Africa’s leading Oil and Gas company. Prior to founding Authentise, Andre also managed a venture capital fund in Nigeria and advisory services in India. Dr. Anja Boisen

Anja Boisen is a professor and Head of the Centre of Excellence at the department of Micro- and Nanotechnology at the Technical University of Denmark. Anja has thorough knowledge on micromechanics and nanotechnology. Her research group focuses on the development and application of micro- and nanosensors as well as microsystems for oral drug delivery and has spun out several companies including Cantion, Silmeco, and BluSense Diagnostics.
Anja is member of the board of the Danish Innovation Foundation, the board of the Villum Foundation, the Danish Academy of the Technical Sciences and the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences.
In 2008, she was awarded the largest research prize in Denmark, the Villum Kann Rasmussen award, followed by the EliteForsk Award from the Danish Ministry of Research, Innovation and Higher Education in 2012. Anja also received the ‘Sapere Aude – top researcher award’ from the Danish Council for Independent Research in 2013.
Director of Strategic Initiative, Autodesk
Jonathan explores the dynamics of large-scale, long term change with a focus on beyond the horizon technologies, providing insight on the evolving role of applied innovation. Jonathan currently serves as the Science and Exploration Fellow at Mission Blue—The Sylvia Earle Alliance; Advisor to Schmidt Marine Technology Partners—a program of the Schmidt Family Foundation; Exploration and Ideation Director at the NASA Frontier Development Lab; and Distinguished Fellow at Singularity University. He sits on the boards of, and as an advisor to, several ocean, space, technology, learning, and exploration focused start up and nonprofit organizations.
With over 25 years of experience in Silicon Valley in leadership positions at Apple, Adobe, and Autodesk in strategy, communications, market development, product management, technology development, and more. Jonathan is a creative thinker and respected thought leader on future trends, long-range vision, and creating a preferred future. Passionate about discovery, innovation, and accentuating the positive, Jonathan advises start-ups, business leaders, government officials, and academics around the world.
Principle Designer and Co-Founder, Field Ready
Dara is a pioneer in using design and exponential technology to solve challenges in austere environments. She has lived, worked and studied in over 37 countries designing tangible solutions for vulnerable populations. Dara combines her design strategy experience and rapid ethnographic assessment to empower others through technology. Two years after the earthquake in Haiti, she realized the extreme supply chain challenges and was motivated to tackle these, starting with deploying the first 3D printers in country as a way of addressing immediate needs. Subsequently, she co-founded Field Ready, an NGO that focuses on refactoring supply-chains and using hyper-local manufacturing to produce humanitarian supplies in the field. Field Ready has already brought disruptive technologies and taught locals to use them to create essential medical supplies, replacement parts for clinics, water pipe fittings and more in multiple countries. Field Ready's long term goal is to not only solve immediate needs but also to foster co-creation and resiliency in those communities and help them shift from aid to trade.
Dara's work focuses on enabling people at the edges in extreme and austere environments not only on Earth but off planet as well. She was the Human Factors Lead for Made In Space, Inc., when they built and launched the first gravity-independent 3D printer up to the International Space Station. Made in Space pioneered the technology to deliver solutions to the astronauts via email instead of the traditional approach involving rockets. Their approach reduced the time to send a solution from months or years to days or minutes.
She has expertise in product design, human factors, team building, leadership, and design thinking. Dara has lectured at the UN, MakerFaire, TEDx, and more about the potential of technology applied effectively to address human needs in remote environments.
Dara holds a BS in Industrial Design, and minor in International Business from MSCD, and has received numerous accolades for her creative applications of technology. Most recently at The White House she was recognized as a "Champions of Change" by the Obama Administration. In her free time Dara flies drones, is a certified Remote Emergency Medical Technician, works on prosthetics specifically designed for women, educates and inspires children around making, including refugees in America and abroad, and is passionate about developing tools for efficient search and rescue operations.

Dr. Mark Post
Assistant professor at Utrecht University, Harvard University
Dr. Mark Post, MD/PhD, has had several appointments as assistant professor at Utrecht University, Harvard University, as associate professor at Dartmouth college, and as full professor at Eindhoven University of Technology and Maastricht University. He currently holds the chair of the Physiology Department at Maastricht University. He is visiting professor at Harvard, University of Modena and faculty at Singularity University. His main research interest is the engineering of tissues for medical applications and for food. The medical applications focus on the construction of blood vessels that can be used as grafts for coronary artery bypass grafting. Tissue engineering for Food has lead to the development of cultured beef from bovine skeletal muscle stem cells in an effort to transform the traditional meat production through livestock. Dr. Mark Post co-authored 165 papers in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and received during his career over 50 million dollars in funding and awards from different sources including government, charity and industry. He presented the world’s first hamburger from cultured beef in the August 2013 and is working on improvements and scaling up the production of cultured meat. He received the World Technology Award from AAAS/Times/Forbes for invention with the biggest potential for environmental impact. Dr. Mark Post is CSO and co-founder of MosaMeat and of Qorium, two companies that aim to commercialize meat and leather applications of tissue engineering. He is CEO of Cell2Tissue, which is a developer of technologies in tissue engineering for consumer and health applications.

Aaron Frank is a researcher, writer, and lecturer at Singularity University. He is focused on the intersection of emerging technologies and accelerating change and is fascinated by the impact that both will have on business, society, and culture.

Tim has a background in both Mechanical Engineering and Product Design Since 2007 he has been working as CTO for Joris Laarman Lab, best known for its experimental designs inspired by upcoming technology. Over the last 10+ years he developed extensive knowledge of exotic materials and cutting edge technologies, specifically novel digital fabrication methods.
Tim is co-founder and Former Co-CEO of MX3D, a company that developed several large-scale 3D printers that use 6-axis industrial robots with which they have printed the first 3D-printed steel bridge in the world. This bridge will be installed over one of the oldest canals in Amsterdam in 2020.
Together with the Lab, Tim is currently working on some new and exciting projects that hopefully see the light of day very soon!
